Sound familiar... looks like it was recalled in Canada but GM fought it in the US, like i suspected their arrogant selves would do. Wouldn't expect anything better from them...
Re: oil on threads of 1 spark plug
I just changed plugs and wires on my 06 Aveo Special Value yesterday and found the same thing. Oil on the threads but not the electrode, weird. I check the tailpipe and no oil smell and the little bugger never burns a drop. I think I may chalk it up to freaky unless something else happens. I drive 500 miles per week and not ever a problem but I wil be checking into better fuel economy/power.
Re: oil on threads of 1 spark plug
Sounds like a leaky valve cover gasket to me.
Re: oil on threads of 1 spark plug
Yeah. Or spill over from changes. Oil leeches so it creaping into the spark plug threads is not a surprise. But it could also just be sitting in the plug galley.

Normal for most older cars as they approach middle age. Just as with people, we tend to drip more as we get older.
Re: oil on threads of 1 spark plug
I have oil on threads and insulator of two plugs, plugs look fouled. Found oil seeping where plastic valve cover contacts aluminum head in spark plug tunnel. Valve cover gasket seals around the edge of the cover and also has grommets at each opening for the plugs. New gasket on order. Also have noticed much worse gas mileage and a P0128 code, "ECT below Thermostat Regulating Temperature". Will check both after gasket install, could be related :?:
