i dont know about the aveo specifically but its usually signs of oil sending unit problem/malfunction/on the way out.your oil pressure is good.so is light flickering like a electrical short or constant in time flashing/blinking.
The spec is 5 psi. I'm thinking about replacing the oil pump
i would replace/clean the oil sensor and passage first. if it is gummed up or otherwise broken it will cause this issue.
if you have the 5 psi you need at the head then you do not need an oil pump. It is obviously working.
Roni,
What year is your Aveo? Have you visited your local dealer yet to have the vehicle diagnosed? Let me know if you would like me to make an appointment for you.

is this for real? chevy customer service? can't even get a correct answer on the phone or at the dealer most of the time but you have time to post in forums?
My apologies, you must have not seen my introduction, yet. I would like to introduce myself as a Customer Service Representative from the GM Social Media team. The GM Social Media team is responsible for scanning of over seventy forums, multiple facebook pages and at this time two twitter accounts, in order to provide customer service to those who utilize them. While we are not able to provide technical assistance, we are able to help in terms of customer assistance. This would include interacting with the customer in hopes that we can reach some kind of resolution together. We are looking forward to assisting those with concerns on this site. I can understand and appreciate you wanting to ensure that this is a legitimate outreach from GM. We are eager to be joining this online community and hope that we are able to provide some assistance here. Thank you.

well, "factory" trained techs, and i was speaking of gm customer service (whom i've only talked to through the dealership).
I know the dealers are private, i've worked at enough of them. Western Pa had hundreds at one time.
