Omg.... I found a performance clutch!!!

In my frantic search for a performance clutch my friend at work said to me "Why don't you call Bully Performance Clutches?"

I'm like as if they would carry a damn clutch for these cars man...

Bully's main building/office is located in Ottawa, Ontario... That's a simple 45 min drive from my place.

So i log on their website and start cheking the application guide.

I found they have an application for the Pontiac Wave 1.6L, and the Suzuki Swift 1.6L, from 2004 to 2006. They also have it in multiple stages, from a mild street stage 1 to a full drag race stage 5 kit. Prices range from 393 to 643 dollars.

I am a happy happy person today yes!! I will be ordering the stage 2 kit, which is a kevlar disc, very easy to drive and plenty of power capacity. The stage 3 and up you start getting into ceramic disks.

Keep me posted, I'm pretty sure I need a new clutch or will need one soon anyways. Might look into taking it a step up from OEM.

Agreed.. the stock clutch is loosey goosey. It would be nice to have an adjustable one with a lot more grab. The engine has that inertial lag effect that I think a beefier clutch could speed up a bit.. I tried powershifting my car for awhile just to learn the transmission but never got too successful at it because 4th gear was too picky. I wonder how long the original clutch will last? My car is getting close to 115K kilometers / 70K miles.

I have around 108,000KM on my 2006 Aveo5 SVP... I've dumped that clutch more times then I've dropped an f bomb I think, it's still holding alright.

motor mounts will go first I think lol. Good find Nemasys. If they will work in our cars are you going to host a group buy? Might get yourself a nice discount that way. I'm not in, no money, and I don't drive hard enough to need one anyway.

Small update, still havent heard back from Bully as of yet.

But Garrett (gse_turbo) on Daewootech finally got back to me a month after i PM'd him about a clutch, turns out he was in the process of moving his entire business so he couldnt be on for a while, thats not a problem anyways the car is stuck in snow!

Anyways he quoted me $160 for a 4-puck kevlar disc and approx $260 for a 1500 lbs pressure plate. I might go for this as it's alot cheaper then the Bully clutch. This clutch is also ran by exist3nce in his 260 whp Optra (Forenza in the states) although he has a 6 puck disc instead of 4.
Heres a pick of his clutch he bought from Garrett:

If i ever get the kit from Garrett, it will probly look very similar to this, but a 4 puck instead. I really wish Bully would get back to me soon! I might have to give them a call.

Regardless if its Bully, or a kit from Garrett on Daewootech, there are options out there even tho there aren't many, it is possible to get a very decent kit if you really want one!

Now we need to find some choices for lightweight flywheels.
