i dont really see the point in this since the incoming air comes from the hole in the fender well under the airbox, and the inlet on the bottom of the box is a good size already. You're not going to get more air by cutting the bottom of your box out
The inlet on the box, once you remove everything is about 2" accross. I did something similar, only semi sealed it to the fender as the hot engine bay is... well, hot. Especially in Vegas.Originally Posted by y2daniel1981

I've never heard of actually chopping a factory airbox. I'm a VW guy, so we always did the swiss-cheese air box by drilling vent holes in the factory airbox like this:
