P0016 CMP, CKP Correlation, P0340 Camsshaft Sensor Problem

Hi all,

I have these two codes, no other codes, a new camshaft sensor several months before the issue, and correct timing 2 days after the issue started.
I also noticed I had some wiring damage at the camshaft sensor connector, so I have replaced that connector. I'm not sure what to look at next.

*Update* car runs fine with cam sensor disconnected, any ideas on how I should begin diagnosing the issue?

have you checked the VVT convectors all my connectors for the sensors the wires started losing insulation at the connectors?
