hahah no worries guys, i am the noob and i do accept it.
Anyhow, i got the intake up and running and i gotta say i feel the difference. Im gonna put a video up sometime soon.
By the way, what's a good company that does aftermarket exhausts that don't sound too ricey, if there are any

you could do a borla system or even magnaflow, its expensive, looks stock-ish, but its good performance to sound..

if you budget does not allow that, dynomax is a "cheap" copy, and jegs and summit carry some other off brand copies.

      Re: Performance Chip

I took mine off of a '96 neon, it doesn't have a brand name or anything on it, but it sounds good. Has a nice low rumbly tone to it without sounding like a broken down lawnmower

I checked they're websites, Jegs, summitracing, magnaflow, borla, and they don't seem to have anything for the car..
is there a specific place i should look?

if your shopping for an "aveo" system, then you wont find anything. but if you get components and have them put on the jegs summit etc carry the components that are performance but not ricey.

      Re: Performance Chip

I have been very happy with every "Vibrant" piece of exhaust that i have seen and used on my previous cars. Straight-thru design that still muffles quite a bit.

Here, all the info you need to know about these "Performance Chips":

Also, the grounding kit is kind of a useless mod. I mean, you won't see any type of performance gain that you would actually notice.

Definitely stay away from those so called "Performance Chips" for the Aveo. Total crap!

Not with every new member. But I have the advantage of being familiar with electrical systems. Oh and I read through forums a lot.

Any way, the only thing that I have found, will boost performance electronically, is to actually alter how your ECU runs the motor for your car. If i'm not mistaken, and please someone correct me if i'm wrong. This will let you change whatever you need, to make your car more receptive to intakes, exhausts, and whatever else you do with the motor.

Now I'm just guessing here. What about a re-flash or reprogram of the ECM?
