      That's the image that made me ask... it looks plastic... though it could just be paint...

      OK, I just looked at my metal one here sitting with me (haha... I have basically an entire Lanos in my apartment where I've been re-assembling the stuff I once had)...


      It's plastic... I am sure of it. There is ribbing that would be impossible to make on the metal version and they don't exist on the metal version.

      plastic intakes = lower intake temperature

      I wish they put an aluminum block in the aveo, that would cut wieght considerably. An entire subaru non turbo engine weighs under 300 pounds fully ready to install.
