its not the cone filter on the stock plastic pipe that did that, its a cone filter on an aluminim intake pipe that we all had that did that, so even if he has ac he is safe
depends on size of filter too. just tryin to save a feller 60$ down the road. dont want others to go thru what i had to. plus its more the right way to do things. but he dont gots ac so he aint got nuthin to worry about.

edit: these are def. not variants of the cobalt motors... this is a diff. eco.

You can not commit crimes in a Aveo. Its just not fast enough.

well took the filter off and decided to just remove the res box.. thats gone but i dont really notice any sound difference over stock.. lol maybe that was a waste a time and a some rubbed/cut knuckles from pulling lol

      oh my damn mod bug..

well at least thats gone now so if i had a aem cai in the spring it will be one less step.

You didnt notice any difference because the resonator box was not working the way you had you intake setup.

Performance wise, the AEM intake will gain you nothing over a K&N drop-in in the stock airbox. Sure it looks better but is also almost $200 more.

no maybe i wasnt clear in what i said.

i noticed a big difference with the injen filter on , it growls like crazy but not what i was looking for.
put the stock filter back on and air box. but then removed the res box. i mean i don't see any dif with this off or on. sounds the same as stock with it removed
