Quick air filter question

Hi guys this probably sounds like a dumb question but im still new to my aveo. Im planning to install a air filter like the pic below and was just wondering if anyone had any issues with it example the service light or somthing flashing since it may detect that the stock air filter is not there. My friend who is installing it for me said that he did one for a subaru wrx and when the air filter was changed to one of these, the service light kept poping up. thought il ask before i do anything. Thanks guys

I think you will not have eproblem always you install the air sensor in the air admission line. I have a proflow installed on my aveo ´10 and never problems!!!
