any one know the stock size and thickness for 1.6L radiator? I am trying to figure out if a half size civic/crx 38mm fluidyne radiator will be good enough for a our engine and possibly the 2.0L. If i could get it to work with the halfsize that would free up considerable room for the bigger engine since its only 16inches long

Yes a Honda one will work. buy a aftermarket one for a civic. you will have to custom mount it.

so the half size civic radiator will have enough cooling power for 1.6L? how about a 2.0L? I know they are popular in pro drag cars but i figured those need really heavy duty cooling for not so long periods of time....how about good cooling for long periods of time?
Fluidyne makes the 16" long 38mm core one for the civic....they also have ones with endings that allow you to mount fans and oil coolers across the back...i was reading about it in superstreet in a special they did on cooling. i figured it would have to be custom but hopefully there will be alot of custom if i get this project going

i wasnt even thinking about looking up k20a with them...alright that should free up the room to run a turbo in a 2.0L

I hope you get one of these installed, I'd like to see how it looks in there.

i have a C and R racing half size radiator in my 1.6L crx and it works very well. i used to drive like 250 miles a day on the highway in my turbo rex and i never had any cooling problems.
