Has anyone been able to actually remove the engine cover completely to get to the Pistons. Is there a manual or anything?

What exactly are you trying to do? If you want to take a look at the piston heads, you can get a camera snake and stick it thru the spark plug opening. Otherwise, you will have to remove the head. If you want to get the the bottom part of the piston, connecting rods, and bearings, youll have to remove the oil plan. When you say "engine cover" do you mean the plastic valve cover? Because that will only show you the valve train...

You are going to have to remove the head just to get at the pistons and once you do, you will have to spend at least 45 to 60 bucks for new head bolts.

That's what's I'm trying to do, how did you get the head off an where can I get new bolts an a new seal for the valve cover? I know I need to clean my Pistons
Yea I meant the valve cover I can't get it off
Unless you have a real need to fix something with the head/pistons, don't. It's not worth the time or effort. In order for me to clean my pistons, I had to remove the head and pretty much means dismantling half the engine. So what's really wrong to drive you down this path?

a screeching sound coming from the engine. A buddy at work told me check the seals of the pistons and make sure nothing is scratching
Do a compression test and then a leak down test. Cylinder Leak-Down Tester

Ok I'll try that thank you I'll let you know the results
