Hi all,
I tried a search for the answer but struggled to find one.
Is it easy to separate the right hand outboard CV joint from the drive shaft in order to replace the whole CV joint?
I am in the UK and can buy a complete right hand drive shaft with both CV joints for about £85.
But I can get an outboard CV joint kit for less than £20.
I am pretty sure the outboard joint needs replacing as there is a CV joint "clicking" sound on that side when on full lock.
Does the outboard CV joint detach easily from the drive shaft or do I need a special tool?
Any tips or tricks would be much appreciated. If it is a real PITA to do, I will just buy a complete driveshaft.
Thanks
