"Cricket" sound is usually the belt. If there are any cracks on the inside surface or much fraying on the edges, you may want to change it out to see what happens to the sounds before proceeding with the A/C clutch - especially if it has been "a few years" since it has been replaced. Rabbit has the better diagnosis for the ringing/belt noise combo, but changing an old or worn belt would eliminate a lower cost potential cause first and, if the belt is worn, you'll need to change it anyway when you do the clutch.
I did take a look at the belt. still looks good, doesnt seems to have cracks.
Got the nearly 2 year old car recently at 15000km and have only driven it for like 1000km...
Still... I will get it checked soon.
