What maker, car brand, etc, whatever you wanna say, makes an exhaust system, mufflers, resonators, etc, that is similar to our cars that requires little to no modifications? Anything at all? Saw a Kia spectra exhaust almost matches our axle back set up but the flange was reveresed.. so I was just wondering.
you don't need to buy a system for another car, just the bends that our car needs and have a shop weld it together.
There are tons of local shops (to me) including a monro, that will do "custom" exhaust work. It would be about $250- whatever you want to spend to get this done with less work than modifying a system to fit.
depending on where you were going to start the custom exhaust, then you need a straight pipe about 6 ft, a 90, a 90, a 45 and a short straight pipe. (thats for a no muffler, no resonator system, you would need 3? 45s to make it around the k frame and a flex pipe and another 90 to fit it to the cat..
based on basic sizing and prices for a 2 1/4" pipe kit, you get all that plus extra for $140.
If you pay $200 in labor your about what a kit costs.
However locally i have two shops that will bend their own systems (crinkly) for about $300-350 installed in SS. There is another that will do mandrel bends, but its more welds then a single bent pipe, not that it matters, for about the same or a little more (more labor intensive)
