      Spark plug sockets

Two questions here. First, what's a good brand to buy? I want quality, but I'm also a little strapped for cash at the moment. Also, what sized socket am I looking for? My Aveo is an '04 and still has the plugs in it front the factory. All the screws are different, of course, so maybe I'll need more than one...

      Thanks!

in the event you don't want to spend the money...you can use things you probably have already...

Use a regular socket to loosen and tighten the plugs...to remove and insert them, use a piece of rubber tubing...

for the socket it is either 3/8 or 5/8 i dont remember, u could probably do a search to see what it really is.
for spark plugs, there all pretty reasonably priced, but e3 and ngk are probably the best out and wont hit ur wallet to hard

Craftsman, Craftsman, Craftsman! Buy all the Craftsman tools you can. Lifetime warranty not to break and if it does break you just take it back to the store and they issue you a new one. Sears and KMart are the two that I know of that carry the Craftsman brand. There is one other company that carries the lifetime warranty but I cant remember the company at the moment...

E3 spark plugs are not all that great.
I try to go w/ GM goodwrench tools or craftsman.
Its like 5 bucks for a spark plug socket tho.

i went to o'reillies auto parts and bought a special T handled socket just for spark plugs. works great, has the lil rubber insert at the top of the socket and works really well.
You can not commit crimes in a Aveo. Its just not fast enough.

If you have a harbor freight near you, that is what I would recommend for the tools. You can also purchase them online. 1/3 the price of Craftsman and they also have a lifetime warranty. And oddly enough, the only tools I have ever broken were a Craftsman socket wrench and a Craftsman open end wrench.
