I have NGK V-Groove. Haven't installed yet, waiting on Wires from Gravana
Got NGK iridiums and the Magnecor wires and I see a big improvement in pick up. If I´m on the highway I have no problem stepping on the gas and the cars moves instantly with power.
Kinda wish that I tried the sparkplugs and wires first, mostly to see if it improved my MPG.
hey guys, so do i just buy any ngk iridium spark plug? or do i need to get one with a certain gap. here are the ones i found after doing some googling - BKR6EIX-11 and 0.044 gap.
http://clubplug.net/canada/ - have the cheapest price that i found in (CAD$)
Personally, I would just go to a Parts store and buy the NGK Iridiums.
I went to Partssource in Calgary and asked for them. They looked it up in the computer and gave me the right ones.
If I remember I paid $30 for all four. They come in packages of 2.
Plus there are always sales on for these kinds of things.
Thanks for the info guys!
I installed these spark plugs with great results. http://www.pulstar.com/ They are better than the NGK iridium plugs on dyno testing.
Some people are like slinkies, not much good for anything but sure do bring a smile to your face when you push them down the stairs!
Aveo 2006 LS
But how are they better?
Real World results.
Not what the brochures say.
They better be decent for $25 a plug...too much if you ask me.
$20 dollar plugs are becoming more common with higher line cars now.
the difference with pulsestar plugs is they are are supposed to fire multiple times one their own right?
i can see how that might be ok, but i would worry about ti causing detonation, or burning a hole through a piston at higher rpm. depending on the draw time if the multiple sparks. and a higher RPM it seems it would almost be firing "constantly". plus during the waste spark, would burn hot enough to fire right into the top of the piston.
It does not fire multiple times, It fires a "more powerful" spark. I have personally seen real world results where they broke apart in a friends Corvette and provided the same power and fuel economy compared to his old stock copper plugs.
I would say that your MPG increase was more because of a change in your driving habit, gas mix, weather, or engine break in instead of the plugs.
Can you please show me YOUR dyno testing that proves it makes more power under the same conditions. The dynos I have seen that are not shown on the Pulstar website have shown otherwise.
