but as of right now, none of that stuff is gonna happen. There is stuff over seas for the engine, but you have to pay an arm and a leg to get it. And you have to have everything custom.

Yeah there is a lot of acura rsx's out there, but there really isnt any around here. I think ive seen like two rsx's in the 6 months. People boost the K20A2 (type-s) up to about 450hp until they upgrade the internals. I could probably take anyone in my town with that amount of power.

I just want a car that someone will say "daaayyyummmm." I think even if you get a like 200 hp aveo, people will be like thats the dumbest thing every; why would you do that?

i guess people still arent used to the idea of a fast aveo cus noone has ever really seen one. so if one gets developed and aftermarket companies can see it then we may have a shot. the aveo has a good power/weight transfer. take offs are strong just no top end. i cant blame u for goin with an acura, i got a buddy with a legend as his project/dd and its pretty sweet.

i would never say that a 200 hp aveo would be dumb tho. it would make an awesome sleeper and noone would really know cus its an aveo. people would just look at it like, oh theres a nother silly car with a can on it. i wont even waste my time. but then when they see u roast the tires thru 3 gears and hear the blow off of the turbo they would be like DDDAAAAMMMNNNN!!!!

just my personal thought, and maybe the aveo is no pussy magnet, but i still love my car.
You can not commit crimes in a Aveo. Its just not fast enough.

+1, everything u can think of has been done to all hondas/acuras.

I think the aveo isnt meant to do 10 seconds down the strip, but drag racing doesnt take much skill anyway.

I think the aveo is meant for the track, and as long as we can get at least some internal work done, we could become good competititors with a little suspension work....
drag racing takes a lot of skill. i would agree that it takes a lot more skill to autocross than it does to drag race but trying to put 300+hp to the ground and not sping your tires but still have a good launch....that is not easy.

True. Only people that have not drag raced say it takes no skill.

very high 16s are possible if you have an amazing race....i ran a 17.1 with like a .4 or .3 reaction time. so its possible.

dont do it all those things are just pos intake systems.
invest that money into a real turbo/supercharger set up.

there was a shop that did an LSJ swap for sema but there was ALOT of work dont to mount it up and get the tranny working.

and yes the ss/scs do haul and they REALLY haul if you switch pullies and add exhaust and everything.
