Dang, I like. Gives me inpirations to work on the Aveo and not be begging my wife for another bike.
hmmmm, top mount intercooler like how suby does it, not a bad idea and check out the minimul piping done
OK!!
How much and who does it?
Nobody does it Lars, aveo owners get little to recognition from the aftermarket world. Basically if you want something you have to make it. This would be a good setup though, I'm sure a DSM intercooler would fit nicely, but you'd still have to have a turbo manifold made. You would have to put a hood scoop in too, my buddy's got a Mazda Speed6 turbo that has no scoop and the turbo just lags cause' it gets hot.

I know that people have been wrenching on Aveos in UK and Europe much longer then us. Cause you can see a heck more add-ons on the web from over there. The only problem I’m finding most doesn’t ship overseas.
The turbo isn't lagging because the same amount of exhaust is flowing through it whether it's WOT 5 or 50 minutes after start up and use. What you're probably feeling is a lose of power due to heat soak. I've got a DSM and SVO intercooler if anyone wants to buy them for a project like this. You also don't need a turbo manifold, just fab up a U up-pipe from the stock flange on the exhaust manifold and a bracket to hold it all (of course a turbo manifold would be a million times better, i'm just thinking on the cheap here)Originally Posted by Wolfman AK907
+1 I never really thought about that. You could do a U pipe, it's not ideal but it would work.
