it would be easy to cut off the manifold at the flange and flip it and weld it back together too.. if you know how to do that.

but if you do your own work. you could weld another manifold to that flange, or cut a new flange..

Yeah, you could do that. You have to have someone that can make the welds last. That would be the best way.

You would have to put a hood scoop in too, my buddy's got a Mazda Speed6 turbo that has no scoop and the turbo just lags cause' it gets hot.
The Speed6 uses the hood to feed air to the intercooler, if you open the hood, you will see air chambers that go to the intercooler, kinda like a ram air system. The turbo doesnt lag, in fact it has very little lag (especially if you put a CAI on it). The problem is the turbo is too small for the engine thus the strange behavior of the engine. The car is hard to drive if you dont know how it goes. When you step on it its nothing nothing... hang on to your shorts for dear life power then it dies down over 5.5k rpm cause the turbo cant keep up. I dont like the powerband of that car at all. My brother has a Speed3 and my gf's parents have a Speed6. Both cars act pretty much the same but the Speed6 is far worse then the 3.

Yeah, I've driven my friend 08' WRX Hatch and the difference is night and day. The Speed6 is a way overrated car.

Sucks that these cars didn't stick around a little longer. With all the room between the manifold and radiator fan, and all the headroom on the motor (not to mention the DOHC) these things were meant to MOD....
