      No need for apologies a lot of us learn by trial n error... if u can, support car properly and work from underneath n if possible have a friend pull head while u r under. R u swapping the trans as well??? Keep us posted this is a good thread

      Good luck with the swap. You might need the whole wiring harness off the donor vehicle also.

      Wow, now that's some carnage. Ouch. Rod bolt let go? Will the stock throttle body setup work on the d-tec manifold, or can you swap them? I think your 07 is fly by wire throttle setup like mine.

      I wasn't there when it blew, but the piston did shoot a hole through the bottom.

      So, due to licence verification crap on the website, I may not be able to get my Forenza tomorrow. I did, however, come across an interesting discovery. The Suzuki Verona, which comes with an i6, has the option of the d-tec II. Maybe I go for the 2.5l, 151 hp, i6 monster that is the XK6 i6, or I stick with the D-TEC II.


      My only concern is spacing, the mounting is in the same place, but the engine is naturally larger. I like the idea, and so does my mom (she is helping me with shipping since it wasn't my fault). There is a lack of information due to the Verona being such an unknown car. I spent literally an hour just trying to find out if the mounts fit, which I confirmed due to a charred Verona on the auction site.

      According to daewootech.com there is little to no interchangeability between the Verona/Epica and the Aveo. If you research the sales numbers, the last year the Verona was offered for sale the total sales were in the negative numbers as Suzuki bought them all back rather than deal with the warranty claims.
