Tapping/Clicking?

Has anyone experienced a little clicking with idleing? like near the throttle body? car is in great shape! runs great, just when im sitting i can hear a distinct tapping/clicking? would i maybe try a heavier oil(someone told me to do that? dont know lol)? or what? anything major i should worry about?

If its running fine then i wouldn't get too worried about it, my bet is it just the injectors clicking on and off. As far as the oil is concerned, the Aveo was designed to run on 5w-30, so changing that may not be best option. however this is all just my opinion :). hope this helps.

What I am experiencing and I'm not sure if it is the same as yours is below the throttle body and injectors. The clicking is coming from the EVAP vapor purge canister valve. It will start clicking intermittently after start up but will not do it on extremely cold days. I noticed that while the car idles after start up you will here a click from the vent solenoid valve by the passenger rear tire then shortly after the purge canister will begin clicking for about 5 to 10 seconds then stop and start again shortly after. The clicking goes away after the car warms up. I replaced the vent solenoid (cheap & easy replacement) and that didn't help. My next move is to replace the canister valve and see if that fixes it. I'm not getting any CEL's but it drives me insane hearing it.

Thanks, I noticed today that when its idling it does do it but after i go and cruise around town and stuff and come to a stop or park its gets really hush hush so i think maybe its from my car just being cold? cause its almost goes away
