      Theoreticaly supercharging, ls1 coil conversion

I'm new to car modifying I havent ever really done much to a car but I'm planning on starting. (DISCLAIMER: I'm more a dreamer and have a hard time with the follow through, but i hope i can change that with this project.) I'm also not too sure that this is where this post should be, please let me know.

      My plans
      1. chevy ls1 coil conversion
      2. upgrade fuel pump
      3. upgrade injectors
      4. supercharge

steps 1,2 and 3 are supercharger supporting mods. I hope to do a lot of research on fuel system upgrades and superchargers first so i can have more of an idea. I plan on buying a factory supercharger from another 4 cyl engine, probably GM, adapt it to a new intake preferably from the motor the supercharger is from. the rest is mostly self explanatory, except the ls1 coil conversion theirs a video on youtube about it by the mighty car mods guys. if you see any flaws in my plans or have any suggestions please let me know because like i said i have no proper prior hands on mechanical experience and mostly knowledge on theory. I'd like feed back.

UPDATE: it already has coils so it'll be easier than i thought, I'm also going to get yellow jacket wires and new copper plugs.

I'd recommend reading "Supercharged!" by Corky Bell. It'll give you an A to Z rundown of what you'll all need to do. Its quite a bit of work, but doable. Good luck!

this is my winter project. i'm going to use a Toyota 4a-gze supercharger, other details are unknown as of yet, i definitely plan on following through on this. If you wish to supercharge your aveo the website I used to pick out an oe supercharger that's relatively cheap is http://www.autospeed.com/cms/article...t-One&A=110294

UPDATE: still doing research, nothing bought yet. No need for a new intake, I'll use an inter cooler, or piping. no ls1 coil conversion, I'm trying to find as close of a performance plug and play as possible. will defiantly use a 4a-gze sc12 supercharger. still researching injectors and fuel pump but I think I'll use some out of a cobalt ss. I think for the inter cooler I'll use a generic pipe kit and top mount what ever is cheap because i don't think the engine will be able to handle more than 6-10 psi, and i know the supercharger wont be able to handle over 14 psi. using pipe will hook straight up to the throttle body. below diagram has same concept for supercharger. minus pipe from engine to turbo.

What do plan on running ECU wise? I contemplated throwing a turbo on mine and running a Megasquirt, but my trans grinds with any quick shifts into second and I don't think it'll handle much power, plus FWD cars aren't even fun to drive in the rain and wheel hop sucks launching higher HP cars.

I hope you have someone helping you with this project, it's going to be a much bigger task than replacing a valve cover gasket...

Not sure where in Ohio you are, but I know the PickNPull in Columbus had a good half dozen aveos, might be able to get a reasonable priced engine to build up by going that route...
