if i'm not mistaken didnt we have a thread of some resistor thing causing damage to the ecu awhile back? in my grand national i have a caspers electronics-throttle enhancer calibrator, that at 60% throttles reads it as WOT,and increases timing/fuel. now that made a huge difference in the GN.

Honestly, I rarely trust any "quick fix" solution. Whether from e-bay or where ever.

I have had factory upgrade chips put in cars before, but never any sensor "foolers" I tend to believe that any time you "trick" your sensors, it will only result in the sensors going bad, or in the long run, making the car run like ass.

The only things I will buy off ebay are cool body parts, maybe lights, or spare parts when I need them. I may be a little odt fashoned though.

I HAD that same "module" in my aveo too. i took it off because my engine light came on. so i ran a diagnostic test on and it turns out that the cat converter had carbon build-up in it. this is because the module makes the computer engine think its a vary cold day and adds more gas in the engine then necessary. the air flow stays the same. the module is nothing but a resistor in a fancy case. this goes for ALL performance chips and modules on ebay, unless its outrageously expensive, its a fake, and will **** up your engine!!!! (pardon my french)

that thing actually is a resistor and you really got ripped off paying $30 for this because you can get 10 resistors for $1 at radio shack all they did is put it in a little plastic box to make it look like a something good

      yep.

wire it up. drop it in a box and fill it with clear silicone, or something similar to make it look good...

some of the adjustable ones are just $2 rheostats?(i think is what it is called) which is just an adjustable resistor, like a dimmer on a light.
