2006 Aveo
Sat for a few months, took it the other day to pick up my kid from the airport and there was a thumping noise that continually got faster as I went faster and slowed as I slowed. Prior to departure, I had just changed a caliper on the passenger side so figured it was still readjusting and would stop shortly after breaking a few times. Luckily, I was able to get to the airport and back home.
Unfortunately, it did not stop. I have the car up in the air right now, turned it on and cannot hear the thumping. Only the passenger wheel is spinning when I put it into gear. I consider myself a decent DIY mechanic but I struggle with diagnostic. Changing parts is not a problem. I am somewhat stumped by this one. The noise did not change while driving if I slalomed it going down the road.
So as the BEatles sing "HELP!"
