With my manual I get 185km/h in 4th gear and 5th its at just over 200km/h stuck on trip meter with a 1000rpm left...but thats clock speed so not sure about true speed.

i hit 120 on route 15 in Gettysburg, and it took forever. my RPMs were at 5k, but i couldnt tell if the car would go any faster.
i am running 17s too. 205/40/17 and my speedo reads 3 mph slower than what i am doing at 60( it reads 60 i am going 63) at 100 it was reading like 5 off.
09 Aveo 5 LS Hatch
I'm on 17's and did 119 the other day but it felt like it had a little more, I had to stop for a red light but I'll see again tomarrow. If I had to guess I'd say shell top out about 126-128. My speedo only reads 120 so I'm gonna have my buddies WRX beside me to tell me my max.
Farthest North Aveo: Fairbanks, Alaska
in my state, 65 mph.
i hit 115 in my aveo..... once.... no thanks... its truely not meant for that kind of speed... but still intriguing to think 115mpg...20mpg....not really horrible....
with my 15" 195/50 1.2L, I reached 160km/h
you sure that was 120 MPH? or KPH Or was you going Down hill at the same time? The fastest i ever got my Aveo 2004 sadan Auto trans was 115MPH it was a Flat Long Straight Road call 111 in Palm Springs, CA and i have hit that speed 19 out of 20 times the one time i didn't hit that was the wind blowing 60 mph and scared the crap out of me. this is the windiest place on North America for sustained wind. it has a ton of Windmills out there. look it up its called Cabazon, CAOriginally Posted by exodus
You did WHAT? to your Aveo? HAHAHAHAHA
manuals have a higher top speed.
plus a hatch has less weight to slow you down.
a 2 door hatch would be the fastest, probably another 200 lbs lighter, but only has a 1.2 or 1.4.
with the 1.6 its would be capable of an extra mph or two compared to the 4 door.
