yeah, but working with what I have to work with down here... we'll rebuild. I will have about $1600-ish, in what amounts to a new engine.

Update: Parts are all ordered, I may have gone overkill, but if I am saving the price of buying her another car, a little extra care is worth it.
All parts are AC/Delco, or GM (surprise to me, there is a bit of a difference!)
      NEW cylinder head, complete
      Rings/Bearings
      Gasket set
      Oil and water pumps
      Timing belt and tensioner
      EGR valve
      Aluminum thermostat housing and stat
      Head bolts
      All water hoses

Anybody care to guess how much for all the parts? Yes, if I am asking, then you know I think I got a pretty good deal. I've known the parts guy for about 17-18 years, and got pretty good prices I think.
