      Transmission issues.

I just got an 08 aveo with a tranny issue. It'll drive fine when cold shifts like a new one should. Then gets warmed up and loses all gears no check engine light or anything stored in it. My normal thought would be shift solenoid etc. But I looked at gmpartsdirect.com and they dont have one listed

Have you checked the transmission fluid level and quality?

There are two valve body solenoids. PN 93741833

Are these what you were looking for?

You need to get an OBD reader capable of reading the TCM data stream. Torque Pro for Android is the most popular but there are others as well. Once you have that, watch what TCM is showing when it goes from cold to warm and loses functionality.

What code(s) did you get? It could be the torque converter clutch.

I would suggest to pay for a transmission rebuild. The fact that yours is 11 years old is enough to know it's time - I have had multiple aveo's (3) and all of them experienced tranny probs - mind you - i drive them to 200k miles +
      - one time i paid for a tranny replace (used tranny) not worth it seals eventually leaked - once i paid to put new seals in - within 20k they started leaking - again a complete rebuild by a foreign car tranny rebuilder - would have been cheapest route -with a warranty $1700
