      Exclamation USB to OBD 2?

I have a USB to obd2 for my 07 aveo but I was wondering is there a free program to lightly mod my ecu?

Just a simple USB to OBDII is useless. You need a tuner cord that is fully capable of modifying the ECU. A usb to OBDII is just gonna be able to read, and not write

Its my friends cord works fine on vag-com. Why do I need special cord and I need the CPU tuning program for my aveo.

      A free program.

Coming from an Audi background, VAG is different than what you are talking about.

vag-com is awesome. the aveo does not use it.

vag-com does not allow "direct" tuning however, it allows adjusts, feature controls etc, but only what the factory has in the set of options programmed from the factory.
