Valve Cover Shifted, Can one just loosen and retorque

      Hi Guys,
      Issue:
Oil Pressure light came on (pressure dropped below 7 psi in engine)
      Valve Cover shifted

While replacing a heater hose it appears we shifted the valve cover.
So now I'm getting a oil pressure light and when I looked on top of the valve cover I can see the valve cover is not seated right now and oil is seeping (slowly) along some valve cover bolts and to the side of the valve cover to cylinder head side.
Any chance I could loosen and retorque the valve cover without having to go through a replacement process?

Anyone want to chime in? I was going to loosen the bolts that are offset and see if the covers goes back to normal position and retorque to 89 ft lbs.

      Bolts/valve cover are slightly off.
      Thanks in advance..any comments welcomed.

If oil is seeping out, you might want to go ahead and change the gasket when you move it.

      Any idea why it moved?

      Thanks for replying.
The guy who helped me with replacing the heater hose is sure we didn't move the valve cover. There is no real leak he says, no oil in spark plug wells and nothing obvious, no blue smoke coming out of muffler.

So perhaps the valve cover did not shift and I'm now getting a oil pressure light coming on. After going over the car we can't find anything wrong with it so far as it running and is mechanically sound at the moment.
One thing to note is the temperature outside has just changed recently?
I guess I will try changing the oil sending unit but I just changed this under 10,000km ago (unless there is two?). If that does not fix it then i will remove the oil pressure light bulb after verifying proper engine pressure with mechanical gauge?
What gives then with oil pressure light.

I would just remove and reinstall the valve cover gasket just to make sure it is seated correctly. You might even as well replace the gasket while your at it.

The early Aveo's and GM's in generals are known for throwing the low oil pressure light for no reason. You can replace the oil pressure switch in your driveway and the part itself is only $20 or so. I did a write up a few weeks ago on it too.
