I tried to use the K&N filter but the one listed for my car would not work so I am using Amsoil Ea029.
Some people are like slinkies, not much good for anything but sure do bring a smile to your face when you push them down the stairs!

I want to use 'quaker state' filter...thats what my dealership uses and supposedly I have awarranty with quakerstate that guarantees my motors friction surfaces up to 250k miles if I always use there products.
I cant find them locally however so Ive been using the parts store brands. So far I've used a napa, and a few purolator filter's.
I have a problem with AC delco filters...Evertime I look inside one I can see some residue..looks like dried goo that must be used in the assembly process. I'm sure its fine, but all I can think of is all that hot oil loosening that goo and carrying it all through the motor. No thanks. I've stayed away from them since I noticed that.
I have a problem with Bosch. Maybe there oil filters are fine, but they sure ripped me off on a 21 dollar wiper blade, that totally sucks.
Here's an interesting read:

Wow, thWow, that guy has too much time on his hands. Just measure how thick the case is how neatly the glue looks doesn't really determine which is a good oil filter. There is no scientific data in that report at all.Originally Posted by Monzaveo
