Re: What is this plug for?
you engine design is different, but even my sv aveo has the plugs hanging for the ac. so that might be the compressor clutch..
Re: What is this plug for?
That was one of my theories. Good to see it there too. I will have A/C in my car someday and not having to change much wiring around is about as much as a person can hope for with a project like that.
Re: What is this plug for?
I actually know what this is When I replaced the Power steering pump I saw this plug and it is attached to the Downstream O2 Sensor.

Wrong plug. I'm talking about the not used 2 pin plug connector sitting on the bottom of the radiator support.
Re: What is this plug for?
Mine is a 2006 Aveo LS with automatic transmission The only plug that is there in the same place on my car is the plug the downstream O2 sensor hooks up at. Sorry about that I forgot SV and LS have very different stuff in them.
Re: What is this plug for?
Hmm, I don't see the wiring being too different aside from the years. I have been told that even an 07 is a bit different in the engine bay then my 08. I'm not sure though.
Re: What is this plug for?
07 and 08 would be mostly the same with updates to some parts, pcv(doax?) system is different, and a metal thermostat housing come to mind..
an 04 has slight differences because its drive by cable..
09 up have a different engine.
Re: What is this plug for?
Yeah, theres a few small changes from the cable to dbw engines. Rabbit noted most of it. The only thing in addition that I can think off the top of my head is a sensor on the vacuum actuator that opens the secondary runners on the intake manifold. The earlier cable engines (04-05) didn't have this.
Re: What is this plug for?
Ok time to hijack my own thread.
Found something else that is a curiosity to me.

What's this? lol.
It's located on the firewall, to the right and behind the throttle body. It looks like it could be a part of the a/c or heater core. I have the SV and don't have air conditioning, but would be pleased to see atleast parts of it in place :D I haven't bothered looking inside the dash to see what it might be, but without actually taking things apart, i'm not sure that would do me any good anyway so I'm asking first.
Note: to the right is while sitting in the drivers seat, the picture was taken while facing the front of the car looking back, so it would be on the left from that perspective.
