Ebay they go for 40 bucks. you could try craigslist around your area, or go to a salvage yard and try to pick one off. stealership if money isn't a problem for you =
Just curious as to why? To me they just get in the way and its more to take apart when tearing into something. I know its only 4 bolts but when the timing cover has 22 alone its a pain. Just my opinion. But they do look decent if you keep them clean.
I wipe mine down with Endust and it looks really nice.
Missing our beloved 1st gen Aveos everyday!
Silence is golden. Duct tape is silver!!
04 Aveo (mine gone but never forgotten)
07 Aveo 5 (wifes car gone but never forgotten)
02 Suburban (Eats gas stations as snacks)
12 Cruze Eco 6MT (46mpg daily? Holy crap!)
12 Sonic 2LT (Wifeys new wheels)
Chevoo-1/2 Chevy, 1/2 Daewoo. I mean like WTF?
I feel like its not just called an engine cover because it covers the engine so you don't see it, I think it covers the engine to help protect it. to me, you only have a spark plug wire boot protecting the spark plug, and I personally dont trust a peice of rubber alone.and its only 4 (3/16) allen wrench screws, it takes maybe a minute more, unless you're in a pit crew during a race I dont think its too much of a hassle. lol
Did you ever find an engine cover?
@ jriggs Yup I did buy one on ebay for 15 bucks I found out that a daewoo lamps has the same type of cover so I got it and will be sanding it then prime it and add red gloss. Thanks for the tip
thats a good price, i checked a friend that works in chevy sales department and he said a new cover could be around 65-100 bucks... yuck!
