will parts for x16xe work in our engine?
because i was going through my old favorites and i found this site.....http://www.importperformanceparts.net/ and i found this upgrade package with all these parts in it.

Well i think it would work since we have the X16XE i was looking at that too just now... Seems to be a nice kit of parts to reinforce the engine... interesting indeed heheh. Those 80mm 8.8:1 ratio pistons would be perfect for turboing

yea i kno thats wat i was really looking at wat the lower compression for turbo app so u could do more boost safely

Same engine except for the egr port. the intake manifold is different but the head should interchange. Ask Chris at Percisionboost

The price isnt that bad also... There is a shop near my place that rebuilds engines of all sorts, they could easily put that kit in and bore the engine at the same time.
But i dont know how much it would affect power without the turbo for those low comp pistons. There would be a loss of power over stock im pretty sure. But if you dont plan on going turbo, the 11:1 80mm pistons could yield a considerable amount of power (15% or so), that combined with good tuning and a full exhaust/intake would be nice.

yea im not interested in the kit i was putting it out there again to try and entice some people into building a turbo 1.6L in the avoe so we have something to talk about.... for me its 2.0L turbo or bust
