a few weeks ago, my Dad backed his 2009 Silverado into Scootaloo's nose, which cracked the upper hood molding (luckily, in an invisible spot; because GM wants $110 for nothing more than a Chunk of Chrome Plated Plastic) and scraped some paint off; here is a diagram where the damage was: (i'd show you an actual picture of the damage, if I hadn't fixed it already!)
now here is where things get kind of weird; the 2010 Brochure and the VIS Option Sheet I had Printed from my Local GM Dealership both say the Color is Summit White (RPO Code 11U) the WA Number on the other hand, is WA142L, which would put my color as Galaxy White. last Friday, as I was in town getting plumbing parts to fix our kitchen sink, I stopped by the Local O'Reilly's and got one of the Duplicolor All-in-One Paint Pens, and picked a color known as Arctic White (RPO AGM, WA9567), which I thought would not match, and would stick out like a sore thumb. this afternoon, I go ahead and apply the touch up paint and to my UTTER AMAZEMENT, it was a PERFECT MATCH! so now I'm confused as hell; because GM says my paint is one shade of white, my SPID says its a different shade of white, and Duplicolor says its a completely different shade of white from the other two altogether! (and before you ask; I ran a Vehicle History Report about a month after I got her; and there were no accidents on that report.)
