Anyone run with the Altezza black taillights off Ebay?

As the title states... I was looking to change my tailights to something darker... for my black 04 aveo, and was curious if anyone has the black one from Altezza that you can get off ebay for under 100 bucks. Are they a direct match? Like take off the stock ones, put the new ones on? Are they nice looking? Thanks!

Link??? Ya a search on the forums showed that some people had fitting issues. Got a link for some nice LED ones for the 04 hatch?

Or if anyone has purchased the Altezzas lately that can confirm that they fit better now I really am digging the look of these over the LEDs at this point he he.

i dont recall seeing any fitment issues, taking the off the stock ones are a pain, and the new ones dont want to go in but i got my in after a few minutes...i got a pic or two in my build thread with the led taillights, same ones you would want to get as well (you will see years like 04-07 hatch, those are the ones you want).

Yeah the ones I were looking at LOOK identical to the stock ones in terms of fitting in there nicely. And they say 04,05,06 Aveo Hatch in the description. I mean for 80 bucks it's almost worth grabbing them. Worse case scenario, they don't fit nicely so I return them hah.

Do the LED's are replaceble? I don't think they are, and if they are not, what happens when one or two of the little light bulbs blows? We use tons of LED's on our vehicles and equipment and all of them are not replaceble(burn, toss it in the garbage) and for that reazon I don't like them...

I had a good experience so far with Altezza (but I also replaced all the bulbs with SMD LED tower style bulbs) and I love the way they look. I didn't think I'd like them more than the full LED ones that hunter is talking about (and the ones that I have on pictures in my thread), but I actually like the way they look better now. The full LED ones are nice, but if the bulbs start acting up/burn out, the only way you have to fix/replace them is to bake the whole tail light, solder/replace LEDs/wiring, and then bake them together... but to me that's a time consuming process that I don't want to go through every time one of them burns out. I have a set of those with a row of them dimming when I press the brake but they're not worth my time IMO. And with Altezza you can always take out and replace just the bulb instead of having to bake the light open...

      Go black altezza...
