I had this happen to me once on my 2004 Aveo 5. Funny thing though. I went to work one day and decided to take the bus since I didn't want to buy gas that day. Came home and my wife had actually taken the door apart and fixed it for me lol.
I was actually JUST going to write a thread about this tonight. My lock cylinder did the exact same thing to me. I fixed it during one of my autobody classes. I didn't take any pics of it, but its just a small bolt that somehow worked its way loose that holds the tumbler in place. Its very easy to fix, you just have to take the door panel off, peal the plastic back, and theres a hole to get your socket into to screw it back in.
E-Teeecchhhhhhh!!!!!
