      i am a professional , you can use a clay bar, but you will "gum" it up if there is that much transfer on it, i would wipe it off with lacquer thinner, then if you still want more, clay bar it.

      but things have steps, you dont start sanding putty with 2000 grit, just like you dont start taking off transfer with a clay bar. both will work, just take more time and effort.

      BUT always test the lacquer before just getting it all over the door.. or wherever.[/quote:42je5wtl]
      +1 Test it somewhere not noticable like on the inside of your doojamb or something.

      not inside the door jamb, there is not as much paint there. (thinner, less durable)
