I'm looking for original rear bumper for a 2005 chevy aveo sedan.
Anyone know where i can get one? place wants to charge me like $500 to repair mine. Was thinking of I can do it cheaper by painting it myself.

yea but i just need the rear bumper assembly because i think the thing behind the plastic might be bent. costing 300 and up just for a bumper on a website i found.
first you have to access total damage like you said the part behind the bumper, which is the rebar might be damaged. then you need to verfiy nothing needs pulled if the rebar didnt absorb all the impact, and the rail is tweeked.
If the shop could repair the car, fix the cover and then paint it for $500 that is not a bad deal.
However, if you are able to paint it, you should be able to fix it too.
Even though $500 sounds like a lot for a repair, that is nothing really. Why dont you price the paint you plan on using first, to see how much that will cost, and that will tell you how much you have left to get parts before you end up spending more the the $500 trying to do it yourself.

now i just gota contact sherwin williams to see if they make victory red paint
