Man i couldnt find the darn thing! I looked up in there and saw 3 white labels on 3 different cables, and all the numbers were faded off, and one label fell off.
I'll go to the mechanics this week and just ask them to disconnect it. If it is so easy, it wont take 2 mins for them to do it...so they can do it,considering all the money I just spent there, and they bent shroud around my A/C fan, they can unplug this thing for me..
i am in canada, i pulled the fuse of DRL, never get into problem with the cops. I HAVE NO DRL
if pulling the fuse is not the option for you,,,
you can go to your parking brake, search for the ground wire, add a switch,
so the car thinks the parking brake is on and wont turn on the DRL.
but the parking light indicator will not work, (just put some tape on there to make is disappear forever you dont really need that indicator)
this works good for me.
when you disable your DRL, do yourself a flavor get a HID set they are not too expensive. around $120 , 4300k is the least heaty. you WILL NOTICE THE LIGHTING DIFFERENCE , GURANTEED,
I am very happy with my SilverStar bulbs that I put in the day after I bought the car almost 6 years ago. Have gone through 3 sets, because of this DRL setup. Thus the reason I want to deactivate it. The plastic headlights are getting cloudy with those in them, HID will probably burn through the damn plastic. I have used a 'headlight scrubbing kit' two times already, and only get about 70% of the 'film' off. If it were not for the scrubbing kit, and having the Silverstars in it, I wouldnt be able to see the road, the regular bulbs are so yellow. but when the plastic is/was clear, it is beyond bright enough....and cops in Ft.Laud. love to measure light output from headlights, as if they are not legal? Only they can have HID and high end luxury cars I guess. As it is, I blind oncoming drivers, thats good enough for me.
