What is the difference in weight between the stock hood and the carbon fiber hood? I found on one Amazon.com entry for a replacement hood that it weighs 55 pounds and that one of the carbon fiber hoods weighs 30 pounds.

Not a whole lot of difference, wondering if it makes much sense for gaining MPG/acceleration.

Every 100 pounds you take off, your 1/4 mile will be about .1 quicker in most cases, would not make much of a difference, mostly it is done as it looks cool.

Woah! Only $75!? Is that a quality buy? Wouldn't having your hood painted cost more than that?
