Damn, Dents!!

Something caught my eye while I was walking around my car just the other day..

2 serious door ding style dents, but ones on the roof in the center panel, ones on the side rail of the roof, pass. side towards the back.

Along with some minor scuffing on the top of the hatch. They all seem to have stemmed from the same event. Doesn't look like something malicious... looks like maybe some damage from a branch or 2 that may have falllen off tree I park near.

I have too many other things I need to get them fixed right away, so I'm going to have to live with them and damn $2900 more to pay on it!!!

Im in good shape, just two dents from other people and some scratches on the back bumper where some one ramed a shopping cart into it, well and my hood some gangsters sat on...

I don't even have 2000 miles yet and something flung up and gouged by rocker panel today.

**** happens! I hate dings, got 2 small in the roof... I washed/vaccum/waxed the Aveo and the wifes Versa today, both sleeping in the garage tonight... I even washed my son Cobalt, I was in a roll today.

I park way out of the way in wal-marts because of that. I got some scratches in the clear coat and a few dings from idiots. The previous owner cracked the front lip somehow, and it's a little bent under there, will straighten that out when/if I get a body kit. Other than that i'm still looking good. . . winter approaches though.

Ya know, that really sums it up "**** happens". when we buy a new car, we envision it looking showroom perfect for many ages, but really as soon as you take ownership and use the thing...it's open to all kinds of damage, in a split second. And that **** really happens.

I guess a few years go by... New turns into used, which eventually turns into well used, which leaves room for another new car....Unless you decide to give up and go used - pre dented. I guess it's hard to stop thinking of the Aveo as "my 'new' car" and to shift gears into, my 'slightly used car' and to start saving once again for a new car.

SAME here got two dents with in less then a week. On the passanger side after three Yrs. I do every thing to respect other car no matter that $ of the car is & all most park far away from all other when I can.

You know I totally agree that **** happens. Its part of life and we have to accept it as it comes. Envisioning a car to be showroow its whole life like Monzaveo said is I think what most of us hope for. I too get upset when little blemishes start appearing on my car be it weather or some ingnorant bastard who was inconsiderate. I feel that if my car must get damaged, than let me be the one to make the dumb mistake of damaging it. Dammit! I want to put my own dings on my car! Why wont they just leave me alone! @##$%^*&^%^%!
