Dipd my 2006 aveo =]
Hey guys.
Here is what i did to my aveo. Got sick of the stock yellow so rattle caned it blaze orange. It didnt look too bad.. until the paint cured lol then you could see the uneven coats and it was hella bright. Then i bought a paint sprayer and painted it matte black. Here are some before and after pics.
ENJOY!!!!

How did the flat black turn out?? Still lumpy? I know it sounds bad but I love the orange!!!! Did u just use a spray can, if so how many and what kind of sprayer??
-
I like the orange aswell.
-
On the orange it came out bad with a lot of texture do to the fact i used spray cans. As for the black it came out smooth with even coats, i did get some texture on the top but that was because of the angle i was shooting my gun. I'll take some close ups.
As for the spray gun i used earlex 3500 hvlp.
Here's the deal if you live anywhere in the US besides the states of Cali and Hawaii you can buy sprayable plasti dip/full car kits from this site Dipyourcar.com they have a bunch of differnet colors and some custom. Since i live in cali for the time being i had to make my own sprayable plasti dip, 16 14.5 ounce cans of matte black mixed with 2 gallons of xylene. If you guys are interested go to youtube and look up plasti dip there are a bunch of vids on it!

Don't use Plasti-dip glossifier, i used it, and it was a waste of money imo
