has anyone cracked open a '07 sedan headlight?

I'm looking to give my car that aftermarket look w/o spending more than $300 bucks. How do i crack open my headlight w/o causing to much damage? I want to paint the one piece of chrome closest to the lens and take the orange reflectors out.its put together with a flexable glue like putty. Any tips?

This is to those who say it can not be done... I will break 210kph!

pop them in an oven on the lowest setting until the glue loosens.
Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall. Torque is how far the wall moves after you hit it.

      for me (2005 aveo)....

I put them in the oven, turned it on 300 degrees, waited about 10 minutes, took them out, pried a putty knife in between the housing and the lens and pry all the way around the lens until it pops off.

you may have to put it in the oven for a few more minutes if the glue starts to harden.

It is pretty easy to do.

      a little tip:
use paint thinner to get the glue off the putty knife, and if any glue gets on the lens. It works great for me. then i waxed them up to look better than new.
