You can not commit crimes in a Aveo. Its just not fast enough.
Then they wouldn't reflect any light and be useless and very dangerous, or are you wanting to just paint certain parts of them?.

there would still be light, just less brightness to em, sort of like niteshades...

i was thinkin of gettin some 08 civic sedan lights with the leds and see if i can fit them in the aveo sedan tail lights
Why not just replace the stock bulbs with LED's? Or you looking to change the actual design.Originally Posted by mkt8891
As for painting them black, check out the tail light options on ebay. Like the headlights, you can paint the non reflective part black and not lose much light.

and they don't make aftermarket tail lights for the sedans only the hatch
They dont make an aftermarket taillight for the 09 hatch yet, so I'm taking my car down to a local audio shop so they can proffessionally tint my tails because I dont have the patience. Then I'm thinking about putting these LED bulbs in for a custom effect.
Farthest North Aveo: Fairbanks, Alaska
I should have mentioned im trying to come from a sedan owners point of view. I just think it would be neat to see soe custom sedan tails.Originally Posted by subachad
btw, ive tried led bulbs and they are crap, expensive and i went thru 7 bulbs before i quit and just stuck with reg bulbs.

i think he is talking about the leds, not the whole tail light? but its hard to read into what he means..?
you guys should try the DIY on here about making custom lights, you can pick up a set of earlier red tails cheap, and then do all that stuff. might cost you $75.
as far as painting the inside black to "look" like night shades, it wouldn't happen. most of the color is in your lens. and you cant paint the reflective area.. or you will look alot of light. i personally wouldn't do night shades, its hard to work with, and tends to look flat, but i have real paint here.
