i ask as im getting hid's in the coming month and it would be nice to know beforehand....
thanks

The only trick to it is unhooking the metal clasp that locks it in place
how do i do that?Originally Posted by pqaveo
You have to pull back the black rubber(i think) enclosure (the thing the wire harness goes into). You'll see where the back end of the bulb is locked in place. There's a metal/wire hook thing that you need to unhook from its holder. Just push down and pull away from the headlight housing I think. It's pretty easy to figure out. If I could do it, I'm sure you can.Originally Posted by thebarber
How To Remove the lights:
1 remove grill
2 remove the 3 bolts that hold the housing in place
3 pull wires off back of light pulling the rubber to the light housing
4 remove rubber and place to the side
5 carfully remove the screw holding metal wire in place (this is a spring and will get lose from you if you are not carefull)
6 remove bulb and replace it with new light
7 replace wire spring using other light as a guid (belive me if you don't you will never get this right)
8 replace rubber
9 plug wires back in and line the housing up with bolt holes
10 replace bolts to hold the light housing
11 Replace grill and you are back in buisness

You don't need to take out the battery to replace the driver's side bulb. I never have. It would make it easier, but the time of unhooking, removing, and rehooking the battery probably takes longer than the time of working in the tight space.Originally Posted by blownaveo
you have got to remove the spring wire. if you don't then you can not remove the light and to do that it is better to take out the headlight housing. i Know cuz i have done this already.Originally Posted by blownaveo
