      Lightbulb HID Install

So after waiting for a month for my HID conversion kit, it eventually arrived.

Installing them weer a breeze. The only cutting I did was around the rubber gasket that goes around the stock bulb. I had to make the hole larger to fit the rear end of the HID bulb.

Due to the fact that I didnt install a projector lens, the standard reflectors tend to shoot light all over the place. I cant see this light but it shines up signs as if my brights are on.
The light is relatively focused on the usual spot, but this is to be expected when using a standard reflector with an HID Conversion kit.

I paid $32 for the kit off ebay.
      Here is the link : 35W HID Slim Xenon Conversion Kit H4 H1 H7 H11 9005 9006 3K 6K 5K 8K 4 3K Hi Lo | eBay

The light intensity is 8000k at 35W but looks more like a 10000k set.

The ballast which can be seen in image 2 is mounted on the middle screw of the headlight as well as the ground for that ballast.
The wiring harness is cable tied along the top of the plastic radiator cover.

I to have an 8000k kit in my front end. Get ready to get brights flashed at you all the time. I finally got sick of it and adjusted my head lights down. I don't get flashed nearly at all anymore. Hope that eBay kit works out for you. I had one in my car and it only lasted a couple days and one burned out. Ended up getting a more expensive set from vvme.com and haven't had a problem since. Other than me rambling on your car looks good

I can't imagine those illuminating the road in any possible way.

They actually light up the road very well. Better than regular halogens IMO.

Considering Hids produce more visible light than halogens (depending on the kelvin level)I don't see why there would be any doubt.

Because HID's were not designed for that headlight housing. Since you obviously don't actually know anything about headlight. You should know that putting HID bulbs in a reflector style housing is stupid and illegal. They are designed for projector style headlights.

Well I guess after reading that ill have to jump on the band wagon and get some projectors. That cutoff is pretty sweet. But for now until I get some money saved for a retrofit I'll have to keep blinding people
