I've been searching online for some retailers that sell Hood Deflectors with no luck.
Would you guys have an idea where I could get it other than the dealer? The dealer is selling it for $146CAD...

have you try ebay :D
that would look gay :3some: ...LOL
try the clear 3M film...I have it and you can barely see it.
Hood deflector? The Bug Guard? heh why do you want that??
Ron, to each his own right? Some things on your ride probably looks gay also, like the light blue... But you didn't hear me say a thing before right? So comments like that should be kept to yourselves if you have nothing good to add.
eBay, couln't find anything.
Why do I want this? Well, where I live, they pour tons of salt on the roads and they fly on my car and already made chips on my hood. Hence, the reason they call it a hood deflector and the reason I want one!
I'm a detailer and don't want to STICK a film on my car.
:laughing3: pwnedQuote:

Yeah I know what you mean but it's better than nothing! Also, a pleather nose mask is out for me as well! It will just help reduce the chips!
I got them to install the mud flaps but that only does so much. I'm sure in the end the paint will start to come off like on your ride.
yea nose masks suck, if anything gets underneath it scratches and plus the car fades unevenlyQuote:

So you're a detailer, so am I, I wash my car every week, vaccumm the interior every month, and wax it when needed. You don't want to STICK a film on your car, I understand But you want to SCREW a hood deflector to it instead?
END RANT, sorry your skin isn't as thick as mine. I take back my gay comment. (even though it will look gay)
Alright Ron, I guess we started on the wrong foot.
I will check before buying the deflector. If I require drilling, then I won't do it. I'm almost sure they go on without all depends on what brand.
Yeah I'm a detailer on the side (I have a FT job), so you are freakin lucky to be able to detail that often! I'm jelous! Nice to have a fellow detailer in the house!
Hey man...I stewed about this and need to apologize...
When I said your hood deflector would look gay...maybe gay wasn't the right word...maybe out of place/awkward/I mean, you don't see many defelctors on cars (around here anyway). That is why i suggested the 3M paint protectant...I even had it put on my rocker panels and directly behind the front wheels on the fender because I heard guys here say they were getting stone chips in that area.
I'm sure whatever you decide on will look good to you...we each have our own tastes...just trying to help a fellow Aveo owner.
Now, in the words of the great admin from Jersey...I'm not gay but this is the best I could do for a hug :3some: :sign5:
=D> group hug everyone....lol i am also a detailer so that makes threeQuote:

Did you install the 3M yourself?
ya i had the hood deflector for my 07 sedan and it wasnt doing any good i continued to get more and more chips on the hood, so i just took it off. as for film for the rocker panels i need to do that to mine also. post it up if u find a good buy on the film or a how to?
