      That's what kills me, is the DRILLING of holes in the sheetmetal to 'protect' the car. I actually bought no-drill Weathertech flaps for my '11 Silverado. They're fantastic, look like the OEM's in shape, but actually use the factory mounts for the liner, and a built in clip on the flap to attach to the car. Not sure if they make them for the Aveo though.

      No matter how they are attached they will still retain dirt and therefore moisture, which will cause rusting. You might be able to remove them often, to clean out the area, but it may be more trouble than it's worth.
