My 'eyelids'... opinions please

I've seen this done on a couple Aveo's and loved the way it looked. I decided to try it myself and ordered this automotive vinyl from Ebay.

The color didn't quite match, but I did it anyway.
What do you all think? Look okay?
I look at it and to me it looks like painters tape :| but I like the look. Looks nice at night though. I'll take a shot of it tonight.

IMO both look really nice!! maybe i'll see if i can get some silver vinyl or whatever for my car.

Xiaogary; I like that style too; good thing about this stuff being adhesive, when I get bored with it I can remove it :mrgreen:

I had thought about doubling it when I originally put it on. I figured it was more opaque than it is, but when I looked at it last night, the light does shine through.
I had people telling me I shouldn't do that, against the law, I'll get pulled over blah blah blah.

I may re-do it and double it up.

why redo it? just layer over it. you wont get pulled over. vinyl eyelids or eyelids in general are a common mod and as long as you arent making it impossible for any light to get through you are fine. let them run a lumens(?) test on your headlights, i guarantee you will be in spec.

I did just that, layered over it. First one came out decent, the next side has a nice big crinkle in it :x That curve was a pain.
From far it looks ok though 8)
Good enough for now until I get in the mood to re-do the whole thing.

IMO I dont think that looks good. doesn't flow.. the green pict I like

Its not sticker. Mine is a plastic kind of material. Similar to our bumper.

Maybe this picture before respray to green will see the 3D pop out effect instead of a 2D sticker.
