yeah new cars dont use chips anymore, just a resitor thingy.
Yeah, if it was a performance chip trust me it wouldnt have 2 wires lol. You've been had dude. They don't even make chips anymore they make tuners that plug in under your dash and reconfigure the way your computer runs things. When you're done you unplug it and boom, instant horsepower lol. I had a Power Pup tuner on my 2000 4.3L Sierra where you could tune your shift points, your air/fuel and all sorts of stuff.Originally Posted by mikedudley17

yeah, i seen a shop down here that does custom programmer tuner things for 800 or so, ill be calling them up soon
It's worth it just to buy your own tuner, so you can return it to stock when you feel like it.

Most tuners stay plugged in and usually have 5 or 6 preset power levels. Resistors just make your engine run rich and may ruin your cats. I'd definitely remove the resistor ASAP.
Only tuners with some sort of lcd display or on-the-fly tuning stay plugged in. I've had bully dogs, superchips and power pups and do not.

A neo works pretty nice for these cars. Or any SAFC would be a decent addition to these cars.
You can not commit crimes in a Aveo. Its just not fast enough.
I'd like to get a vacuum booser like xiogary has on his car.
